Description
This is the main chassis plate for the Team Associated TC28, the foundation every other component on the car mounts to. It carries the bulkheads, motor mount, suspension mounts, steering assembly and electronics, and its stiffness and mounting geometry determine how the whole car handles.
A chassis is the part most likely to take damage in a serious impact, and a bent or cracked plate will not show itself in an obvious way. It quietly changes ride height, alters suspension geometry corner to corner and makes the car handle differently in left and right turns no matter how carefully you set everything else. Replacing a damaged chassis is the only way to get the car back to a known baseline.
This chassis is specific to the TC28 platform. It is a direct replacement for the original part, so your existing bulkheads, arms, mounts and hardware transfer straight across with no modification. Keep one on the shelf if you race the TC28 regularly, so a hard crash costs you a rebuild rather than a season.
