Description
The Team Associated ASC21425 is a replacement short course body for the 1:28 scale SC28, supplied unfinished so you can complete it in a scheme of your own. It fits the SC28, SC28 Fox, and SC28 General Tire trucks.
Because it arrives unfinished, the shell needs to be painted from the inside before it goes on the truck. Team Associated links a "Tips for painting clear bodies" video from the product page covering the masking and spraying approach this style of body calls for, which is worth watching before starting if you have not painted one before.
Beyond appearance, the body protects the chassis, electronics, and battery from dirt and from impact damage in crashes and rollovers. Since bodies are consumable parts that scuff, crack around the mounting posts, and wear through at the wheel arches, an unfinished shell is a cost-effective way to keep a spare on the shelf and give the truck a custom look at the same time. It mounts on the stock body posts as a direct replacement.
