Description
This is a refurbished SR7 Hoonicorn, Team Associated's 1:7 scale electric on-road car wearing the Hoonigan Hoonicorn body based on the full-size 1965 Ford Mustang build. It is offered as an almost-ready-to-run vehicle, and note that it does not include an electronic speed control, so you will need to supply an ESC.
The chassis is a rigid aluminum design with integrated aerodynamic elements and a monocoque suspension layout. Oil-filled differentials with sintered metal gears handle power delivery, and aluminum shocks control the suspension at each corner. Power comes from a Reedy 685-SL4 brushless motor rated for 4S to 6S operation, which gives this car serious speed potential at 1:7 scale.
It rolls on American Racing wheels fitted with belted slick tires, the appropriate setup for high-speed on-road running where an unbelted tire would balloon. A 2.4GHz radio system and a Reedy servo are included. As a refurbished unit, it offers a way into the SR7 platform at a lower cost than a new car.
