The SR27 Datsun 240Z is a ready-to-run 1:27 scale on-road car from Team Associated, built for small-track racing where space is limited. It arrives assembled, so there is no build time between opening the box and driving.
The appeal of the SR27 platform is scale. At 1:27 you do not need a dedicated track or a large yard, because a garage floor, a basement, or a living room becomes a legitimate racing surface. That makes it practical to run indoors year-round and easy to set up a course with nothing more than tape and a few markers.
It suits a wide range of drivers. Newcomers get an approachable car that does not require tuning knowledge to enjoy, while experienced RC racers get a small-scale chassis they can run competitively against friends without renting track time. Note that NiMH Combo versions of this car include a battery charger and AAA NiMH batteries, so check which version you are ordering if you need those items included.
