Description
Introduced by Nissan in September 1980, the Leopard was the brand's answer to the personal luxury car segment, with the 280X SF-L sitting at the top of the lineup. Its two-door hardtop body used flush-fitting windows and panels for a sleek, modern look years ahead of its time, while a 2.8-liter inline-six DOHC engine delivered 145hp.
Tamiya's 1/24 scale kit is an updated reissue of this back-catalog favorite, featuring new decals and a revised instruction manual. The model faithfully recreates the angular two-door hardtop body along with a detailed interior, underside, and suspension. A movable sunroof, plated wheels with realistic synthetic rubber tires, and a seated driver figure round out the detail package. Decals cover the Nissan badging and logos, with metal transfers for interior accents and the fender mirrors.
This is an unassembled, unpainted plastic model kit that requires glue and paint to complete. A great pick for Japanese car enthusiasts and modelers looking to add a distinctive slice of early-80s luxury to their collection.
