Description
The Spektrum S650 is a standard-size servo with a nylon gear train, rated at 5kg of torque. It is a common factory-installed component in ARRMA 1/10 scale ready-to-run vehicles — including the Granite, Senton, and Typhon Mega platforms — and also serves as the brake servo in the Fireteam 6S BLX, making it the direct like-for-like replacement when a stock unit strips or fails.
Torque is rated at 82 oz-in (5.9 kg-cm) at 6V, well matched to lighter 1/10 scale steering duty and brake actuation, where moderate torque and consistent operation matter more than raw holding power. The lightweight nylon gear train keeps weight and cost down, which is exactly the design brief for an entry-level RTR servo.
The case is the industry-standard footprint at 1.58 in (40mm) long, 0.79 in (20mm) wide, and 1.55 in (39mm) tall, and it uses the standard Spektrum 23-tooth output spline for broad compatibility with common servo horns and mounting positions.
If you're rebuilding a bashed RTR back to stock spec on a budget, this is the straightforward swap; drivers wanting more steering muscle can step up to the steel-gear S651 or S652 in the same footprint. The package includes one servo.
