This precision-machined pinion gear brings a 1.0 module pitch and 10-tooth count to Losi's 8IGHT-E and SCTE electric drivetrains, transferring power from the motor to the spur gear with minimal backlash. Machined from hardened steel, it resists wear and stripping under the repeated torque loads of high-speed bashing and competitive racing, holding tight tolerances that keep gear mesh consistent lap after lap. Choosing a 10-tooth pinion lets racers dial in overall gearing to match track conditions, motor kv, and battery voltage, giving finer control over acceleration and top speed than a single fixed ratio allows. Because it shares the same 1.0 module pitch as the factory setup, this pinion drops directly onto the existing motor shaft without extra hardware or drivetrain changes. It works equally well as a factory-spec replacement for a worn or stripped stock pinion and as a tuning part for drivers experimenting with gearing across different tracks.
