Description
This pull start assembly is a complete replacement starter for any 5IVE gas-based Losi model, built with an upgraded metal pawl in place of the plastic pawl found in older pull start designs. The metal pawl engages the flywheel more positively, cutting down on the slipping and missed grabs that plague worn plastic components.
Because it ships as a full assembly with mounting hardware included, replacing a cracked housing, worn spring, or failing pawl is a straightforward bolt-on job rather than a parts hunt. The stronger metal pawl also holds up better over repeated starts, so this doubles as a durability upgrade over the factory setup.
