Description
A pair of 3 x 40mm aluminum tie rods for the Kyosho TF-5 Stallion, anodized red.
These are adjustable turnbuckle-style rods with opposing threads at each end, which is what lets you change the length of a steering or camber link by turning the rod without removing it from the car. On a touring car that matters constantly, because toe and camber are adjusted between runs as track conditions change, and doing it in seconds rather than by disassembly is the difference between actually tuning and not bothering.
Kyosho describes these as light-weight and durable aluminum adjustable rods. Aluminum over steel saves rotating and unsprung weight at the front of the car, and the harder specification resists the buckling that a long thin rod suffers when a wheel takes an impact. A bent rod still functions, but it sets toe wrong on one side only, which makes the car handle differently left versus right in a way that is easy to overlook.
At 3 x 40mm this is one specific length, so confirm what your car takes. Two are supplied. Kyosho lists it as an option part for the TF-5 Stallion.
