Description
This is the left half of the centre bulkhead for the Kyosho TF-5 Stallion touring car.
The centre bulkhead houses the centre driveline components and carries the bearing seats they run in. That makes it a structural part rather than a housing: its fit determines whether the shaft and gears stay in alignment under load, and a bulkhead that has cracked or distorted lets that alignment wander. The result is gear noise, lost drivetrain efficiency, and bearings and gears wearing out far faster than they should.
On a touring car, drivetrain efficiency translates directly into runtime and motor temperature, so a misaligned centre section costs more than just noise.
The bulkhead splits into left and right halves and this is the left. The right half is a separate part number and they are not interchangeable, so confirm which side you need before ordering. Worth noting that the left half is priced noticeably higher than the right, which suggests it carries additional content, though Kyosho does not itemise what is in the bag.
Kyosho lists it as a standard part for the TF-5 Stallion specifically.
