A 63mm shock shaft for Kyosho's Big Bore damper system.
The shaft is the polished rod that runs through the shock seals and carries the piston. It is one of the highest-precision parts on the car, because the seals ride directly on its surface and any nick, scratch or bend in it destroys the seal immediately. A damaged shaft is the single most common cause of a shock that will not stop leaking no matter how many times you rebuild it, and it is worth checking any shaft you are reusing by rolling it on a flat surface.
Shafts bend in the crashes that load the suspension sideways rather than vertically, and a shaft that is even slightly bent will bind in the seals, which shows up as a shock that does not extend smoothly under its own spring pressure.
This is the genuine Kyosho replacement at the correct 63mm length. Kyosho's fitment list is one of the broadest in the range, covering the Inferno MP777, MP9 and MP10 buggy families, the MP9e and MP10e electric cars, Inferno NEO 3.0 and 4.0, and the Mad Force, Mad Crusher, Psycho Kruiser, FO-XX and USA-1 monster trucks.
