Description
This is the body mount for the Kyosho Inferno MP9.
The body mount is the post assembly the body shell sits on and is pinned to. On a 1/8 scale buggy it does more work than it looks like it does, because the body is large, it catches a lot of air at speed, and every rollover and cartwheel loads the mounts directly. They are one of the parts most likely to snap in a heavy crash, and a broken mount usually means the body flaps loose for the rest of the run.
Mount height and position also set how the body sits on the chassis. A body mounted too high or sitting crooked changes airflow over the shell and looks wrong, and a body that is not properly located can rub on the tires at full suspension compression.
This is the genuine Kyosho part, made to the original dimensions so the shell sits at the designed height and your existing body holes line up without re-drilling. Kyosho lists it across the Inferno MP9, MP9 TKI, TKI2 and TKI3, and the electric MP9e variants.
