Steering pins with their bushings for Kyosho's Inferno platform, supplied as a pair.
These are the posts the steering bellcranks pivot on, linking the Ackermann plate to the servo saver. Every steering input the servo makes passes through them, and they absorb the impact load whenever a front wheel hits something solid. That combination of constant motion and sudden shock loading makes them a genuine wear point rather than a fit-and-forget fastener.
When the pins or their bushings wear, the bellcranks develop play. Play here is the worst kind because it sits between the servo and both front wheels, so the car stops returning to the same centre point, steering feels imprecise off centre, and no amount of trim adjustment fixes it. It is a common and frequently missed cause of vague steering on a well-used car.
Because the parts are cheap and buried in the assembly, most people replace them whenever the steering is apart rather than trying to judge remaining life. This is one of Kyosho's longest-running part numbers, with dealers listing fitment from the Inferno MP5 and MP-7.5 through the MP777, MP9, MP9e, MP10 and the ST-R and ST-RR truggies.
