Description
Shock pistons for Kyosho's Big Bore dampers, drilled with five holes of 1.3mm diameter, supplied two to a pack.
The piston is the disc that travels through the oil inside the shock body, and the combined open area of its holes is what controls damping. Fewer holes mean less area for oil to pass through, which slows the shock down and firms the damping up.
Five holes at 1.3mm is the most restrictive combination in Kyosho's IF347 range. That makes it the choice for smooth, high-speed layouts with large jump faces, where controlling the chassis on landing matters more than absorbing small chatter. It is also what you reach for when the car is bottoming out and you need to hold it up in the stroke. The risk with a restrictive piston is packing, where the suspension cannot recover between closely spaced bumps and progressively loses travel and grip, so it is usually paired with lighter oil to compensate.
Kyosho positions these as setup parts to change with track and seasonal conditions. Fitment covers the Inferno MP10, MP10 TKI3, MP10T, MP10e, MP9 TKI4 V2, Inferno NEO 3.0 and 4.0 VE and Psycho Kruiser VE 2.0.
