Description
A set of five differential case gaskets for Kyosho's bevel gear differentials.
The gasket seals the joint between the two halves of the diff case and is the only thing holding silicone diff oil in. When it hardens, tears or gets pinched during assembly, oil weeps out past the joint and the diff progressively loses the viscosity you built it with. That failure is gradual and easy to misdiagnose, because the car does not break, it just starts diffing out more under power and losing forward traction, which feels like a setup problem rather than a leak.
Because the gasket is compressed and permanently deformed the moment you torque the case together, it should be replaced every time a diff is opened rather than reused. At five per pack you have enough for a full front, centre and rear service with spares.
This is one of the longest-running parts in the Inferno range and its fitment is correspondingly enormous. Kyosho lists it across the MP9, MP10 and MP11 buggies, the ST-RR Evo. and MP10T truggies, Inferno GT2 and GT3, NEO 3.0 and 4.0, the full electric VE line, and the Mad Force, Mad Crusher, Psycho Kruiser, FO-XX and USA-1 monster trucks.
