This Axial Servo Horn, Metal, 25T is a direct-fit replacement for the SCX10 III Base Camp's steering servo, machined from metal for significantly more durability than a plastic stock horn. Steering servo horns take repeated stress every time the vehicle turns, and metal construction resists stripping, cracking, and wear far better than factory plastic components over time.
Built with a 25-tooth spline pattern to match the Base Camp's steering servo, it's a straightforward swap using the vehicle's existing hardware, with no modification needed to the steering linkage or servo itself. It's a common early upgrade for owners who want to eliminate a common failure point on the stock setup, especially for drivers who push their rig hard on technical terrain where steering forces are highest.
This is a functional durability upgrade rather than a cosmetic part, aimed at extending the life of the steering system. One metal servo horn is included per package, ready to install with basic hand tools.
