Description
The ARRMA ARAC9870 Double Socket Button Head Screw set contains eight 4x10mm screws for ARRMA vehicles.
The double socket design is the distinguishing feature and it solves a specific problem. A conventional screw has one drive size, so if that socket rounds out the screw becomes very difficult to remove. A double socket head accepts two different driver sizes, which means when the outer socket wears or rounds, a second size still engages and can back the screw out. On hardware that gets removed repeatedly during maintenance, that is a genuinely useful piece of design.
The button head profile keeps the head low and rounded with no sharp edges to snag on debris, and at M4 diameter these are structural fasteners used where real load passes through the joint rather than trim hardware.
Screws in these positions loosen under vibration, strip in the drive when a worn tool is used, or shear outright in a heavy impact. A rounded socket is the most common failure and it turns a two minute job into a drilling exercise, which is exactly what the double socket design is intended to avoid.
These are direct factory replacements manufactured to the correct thread specification and install in the stock locations with no modification. Eight screws are included.
