Description
The ARRMA ARAC9806 Button Head Screw set contains ten 3x5mm screws for ARRMA vehicles, also catalogued under ARRMA part number AR721305.
At 3x5mm these are among the shortest M3 fasteners in the ARRMA range, used where a screw threads directly into a part immediately behind the surface with no stack of components in between. Screws this size typically secure covers, mounts, servo hardware, and small assemblies where clearance is tight and a longer screw would bottom out or protrude.
The button head profile keeps the head low and rounded, so nothing stands proud to catch on debris, and the hex socket gives solid driver engagement despite the small size.
Short screws have a specific failure mode worth knowing. Because so little thread is engaged, they strip their threads more readily than longer screws when overtightened, and they back out under vibration faster since there is less friction holding them. Checking them during routine maintenance is worthwhile, as a missing cover screw often goes unnoticed until something works loose or dirt gets somewhere it should not.
These are direct factory replacements manufactured to the correct thread specification, installing in the stock locations with no modification. Ten screws are included.
