Description
The ARRMA ARAC7301 SC Nerf Bar Set is a genuine factory replacement pair of short course nerf bars for the ARRMA Senton 4X4 MEGA, also catalogued under ARRMA part number AR320406.
Nerf bars run along the outside of the chassis between the front and rear wheels, and the design comes directly from full size short course racing. Their primary job is to stop another vehicle's wheels interlocking with yours during close quarters contact, which on a real short course track prevents both trucks being launched. On an RC truck they serve the same function and add a second benefit: they take the abrasion in a side impact or roll that would otherwise land on the chassis rails and suspension components.
They are manufactured from tough composite material chosen to survive high impact action, with precision moulded mounting holes so they fit and remove quickly during maintenance.
Because nerf bars are sacrificial by design, they crack, scuff, and eventually tear loose at the mounting tabs. That is them doing their job. Replacing them is far cheaper than repairing the chassis they protect, and running without them exposes the sides of the truck completely.
This set installs in the stock mounting locations with no modification. Two SC nerf bars are included.
