Description
The ARRMA ARA550114 dBoots 2-HO Tire Set is supplied glued and pre-mounted on ARRMA 12mm hex wheels, intended for 1/18 scale GROM platform vehicles including the Typhon GROM.
These tires carry vented construction, and the vent holes do more than they appear to. They let air move in and out of the tire as it deforms under load, which allows the carcass to flex and conform to the surface for better traction and helps it soak up bumps and landings instead of skipping across them. The same holes let water and dirt escape rather than collecting inside, which prevents the tire becoming unbalanced at speed and extends its usable life.
Supplied as a glued set, they are ready to bolt straight on. Hand mounting small scale tires is fiddly work, requiring the bead to be seated evenly and glue worked all the way around without gaps, followed by curing time before the vehicle can run. Factory gluing delivers consistent, even bonding around the full bead.
These are direct replacements for the kit supplied tires and wheels. Two pairs of mounted assemblies are included, enough for a complete set on all four corners.
