Description
The ARRMA ARA480044 Rear Wing is a genuine factory replacement wing for ARRMA vehicles.
The rear wing does real aerodynamic work on a fast RC vehicle. At speed it generates downforce over the rear axle, pressing the rear tires into the surface and giving the vehicle stability under power and through fast corners. It also has a stabilising effect in the air. When the vehicle leaves a jump, the wing helps keep the nose from pitching up, which is a large part of why a well set up truck lands flat instead of rotating backwards.
Because it sits at the highest and most rearward point on the vehicle, the wing is one of the first things to make contact in a rollover or a bad landing. Cracks around the mounting points are the usual failure, and a wing that is cracked or missing a mount will flex under air load rather than holding its angle, which quietly removes the downforce it is supposed to be providing.
This is a direct factory replacement that fits the stock wing mounts with no modification, restoring both the intended aerodynamic behaviour and the finished factory appearance.
