Description
The ARRMA ARA409010 is a genuine factory replacement 1/5 scale body shell for the ARRMA Kraton 8S BLX monster truck, supplied painted, decalled, and trimmed.
At 1/5 scale the body is a substantial piece of polycarbonate, and finishing one by hand is a serious job. Masking a shell this size, laying down even backing coats, waiting for the paint to cure, applying decals without trapping bubbles, and then trimming the arches and cutouts cleanly takes hours. This one arrives with all of that already done at the factory, ready to drop onto the body posts.
Body shells are consumable on an 8S truck more than on any other platform. The speeds, the mass, and the jump heights involved mean the shell absorbs enormous impact in every rollover and hard landing, and the mounting holes gradually elongate under that stress until the body no longer clamps down tight. Once it starts shifting during runs, cracking around the posts accelerates quickly.
This is a direct factory replacement for the Kraton 8S BLX, so the post holes and cutouts align with the stock mounting locations and the shell clears the suspension, shock towers, and tires through full travel with no trimming or drilling required.
