Description
The ARRMA ARA330813 Emulsion Cap Seal is a genuine factory replacement sealing component for ARRMA 6S BLX shock assemblies, including those fitted to the Kraton 6S and Notorious 6S. It seals between the emulsion shock cap and the shock body, and appears in both the front and rear shock assemblies.
In an emulsion shock, oil and air share a single chamber rather than being separated by a bladder. That makes the cap seal the component holding the entire pressurised charge in place. If it fails, the shock loses oil past the cap under compression, damping goes soft and inconsistent, and the shock will keep weeping oil onto the chassis and suspension until it is addressed.
Cap seals are a genuine consumable. They compress and take a set over time, harden with heat cycling, and can nick during assembly if the cap is threaded on carelessly. Reusing a tired seal is one of the most common reasons a freshly rebuilt shock still leaks, which is why fitting fresh seals is standard practice during any proper shock rebuild rather than an optional extra.
This is a direct factory replacement for the seal used in the stock shocks and installs with no modification, working with the standard emulsion caps and shock bodies.
