Description
The ARRMA ARA330797 Aluminum Shock Body set contains two 15x63mm shock bodies for the ARRMA Mojave 4S 4X4 BLX desert truck (ARA4404). The shock body is the outer cylinder that holds the shock oil and guides the piston, and it forms the structural backbone of the damper assembly.
These are the shorter bodies in the Mojave 4S shock system, matched to the 131mm front shock assemblies. The 15mm bore gives the piston a large working area for consistent, progressive damping, and the aluminum construction dissipates heat far better than plastic during long runs, which helps keep damping feel stable instead of fading as the oil warms up.
Aluminum also resists the denting and cracking that ends a plastic body's life after a hard impact or a strike from a rock. A dented body scores the piston travel and destroys damping consistency, so replacing a damaged body is essential to a proper rebuild rather than something to defer. This set is a direct factory replacement for the bodies fitted to the Mojave 4S, so it accepts the stock shafts, pistons, caps, and seals with no modification. Two bodies are included, enough to rebuild one pair of shocks.
