This ARRMA 15T aluminum layshaft gear is an ideal replacement for the kit-supplied item in the 223S-series transmission. The layshaft gear takes drive to the rear transmission, sitting in the power path where every launch and every landing loads the gear teeth — a worn or stripped layshaft gear shows up as skipping under power and a clicking gearbox.
The gear is precision manufactured from aluminum for accurate tooth geometry and a true running fit on the layshaft. Aluminum construction keeps rotating mass low while providing significantly better wear resistance than a composite gear in this hardworking position, making it a smart replacement choice when servicing a transmission that's seen heavy brushless power.
