Description
This ARRMA idler gear set provides the replacement 29-tooth idler gear for the transmission in ARRMA's 1/10 223S platform vehicles. The idler gear sits between the spur input and the differential ring gear, transferring every bit of the motor's power — it's a hardworking internal component, and when a stripped or worn idler starts skipping under load, this is the fix.
The gear is precision manufactured for accurate tooth mesh and smooth, quiet transmission operation. Correct mesh matters more than any other single factor for gearbox life: an accurately cut idler spreads load evenly across the tooth faces, so the transmission runs cooler and the surrounding gears wear slower.
Installation happens during a gearbox service alongside the differential (ARA311071) and the 6x12x4mm bearings (ARA610041), so many builders replace the idler as cheap insurance any time the case is already open.
Fitment covers the ARRMA 223S transmission family, including the Fury 2WD, Gorgon, and Vorteks 223S. The package includes one 29T idler gear set.
