Description
This ARRMA center driveshaft guard is a high-quality replacement guard for the 1/10 223S and 665 Mega platforms. The center driveshaft spins at transmission speed down the middle of the chassis — the guard shields it from rocks, sticks, and debris kicked up during off-road running, and protects everything nearby if a driveshaft ever lets go at speed.
The guard is molded from tough composite material and mounts to the factory chassis locations, covering the driveshaft's path without contacting it. Debris jammed into a spinning center shaft is one of the uglier drivetrain failures — it can bend the shaft, wreck the outdrives on both ends, and strand the truck instantly, all preventable with an intact guard in place.
Guards are sacrificial by design: a scraped, gouged guard did its job. Checking it during regular maintenance and replacing a cracked one is quick, cheap insurance.
Fitment covers the ARRMA Big Rock 223S, Granite 223S, Granite Mega 665, Senton 223S, Vorteks 223S, Typhon 223S, and Typhon Mega 665. The package includes one center driveshaft guard.
