Description
The Traxxas 7897-GRAY is a pair of 188mm gray-anodized TUBES front toe links for X-Maxx WideMaxx suspension kits. They replace the molded composite toe links that come with the #7895 series kit.
TUBES are machined from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminum with a hollow tube design that maximizes rigidity while cutting weight — lighter than steel and stronger than titanium. On a truck with this much power and mass, a flexing toe link means steering that wanders under load; the stiffer link keeps the geometry where you set it.
Practical details Traxxas got right: a machined groove identifies the left-hand threads so you don't guess which way to turn, and the included 10mm aluminum wrench lets you adjust the turnbuckles without marring the anodizing. Note these are the WideMaxx-length links — they are not interchangeable with standard X-Maxx toe links. Package includes two toe links, rod ends with steel hollow balls, and the wrench.
