Description
The Traxxas 7871 is a pair of fully assembled and glued tires and wheels for the X-Maxx and X-Monster Chassis: Sledgehammer belted tires on black X-Maxx wheels with foam inserts installed. Sold as a left and right pair, ready to bolt on.
The belted construction is the important part. At the speeds and tire diameters these trucks run, an unbelted tire balloons outward under centrifugal force — it grows, goes out of round, and the truck gets unstable at exactly the moment you least want it. The internal belt holds the carcass in shape, which means the tire keeps its profile and the truck stays planted at full throttle.
The dual profile measures 4.3 inches at the outer edge and 5.7 inches at the inner, and Sledgehammer's deep, widely spaced lugs deliver all-terrain traction on dirt, grass, and loose ground. Note the black-chrome-wheel version is #7871X if a customer wants the flashier finish. Package includes two assembled tire and wheel sets, left and right.
