Description
The Traxxas 6873R is a pair of assembled, pre-glued race-compound tire and wheel units: SCT Split-Spoke chrome wheels with a red beadlock-style ring, licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires in the ultra-soft S1 off-road racing compound, and foam inserts, mounted and glued at the factory.
S1 is the softest compound Traxxas offers. It conforms to surface texture more readily than the standard rubber, buying a clear step in mechanical grip on clay, loam and medium-bite tracks. The trade-off is tread life, which drops sharply on abrasive surfaces — most racers keep S1 sets for qualifying and mains and practice on standard rubber. The standard-compound version of this set is 6873A.
The KM2 tread reproduces the full-size BFGoodrich pattern with staggered lugs and a reinforced sidewall shoulder. Sizing is the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches outer and 3.0 inches inner; the beadlock ring is molded styling.
Fitment is 4WD front and rear, or 2WD rear only. They arrive glued and mount straight to the hex — a genuine race-day drop-on.
Fits: Traxxas Slash 4X4 front/rear, Slash 2WD and Slash VXL rear.
Includes: two assembled tire and wheel units with foam inserts.
