Description
The Traxxas 5880X is a pair of assembled, pre-glued tire and wheel units pairing SCT satin chrome beadlock-style wheels with licensed Kumho tires and foam inserts, mounted and glued at the factory.
The Kumho pattern is a scale reproduction of the full-size Kumho light-truck tire. Compared with an open mud-terrain lug, its blocks sit closer together and cover more of the carcass, producing a larger effective contact patch. That makes it particularly good on packed dirt, groomed clay and indoor surfaces where widely spaced lugs feel vague.
The wheels follow the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside, which is what gives short course tires their wide, planted footprint. The beadlock ring is a molded styling detail rather than functional hardware.
Fitment is 4WD front and rear, or 2WD rear only; the 2WD front equivalent is 5881X. These arrive glued with inserts installed and mount straight to the hex, making them the fastest way back on the track after wearing out a set.
