Description
The Traxxas 5880 is a pair of assembled, pre-glued tire and wheel units combining SCT satin chrome wheels with a black beadlock-style ring, licensed Kumho tires and foam inserts, mounted and glued at the factory.
The Kumho tread is a scale reproduction of the full-size Kumho light-truck pattern. Its blocks sit closer together than an open mud-terrain lug and cover more of the carcass, which puts more rubber on the ground. That makes it a strong performer on packed dirt, groomed clay and hard surfaces where a big open-lug tire would squirm under cornering load.
The wheels use short course dual-profile sizing, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside. The beadlock ring is molded styling rather than functional hardware, so nothing needs assembling.
Fitment is 4WD front and rear, or 2WD rear only. For the narrower 2WD front position, the matching part is 5881. These arrive glued with inserts fitted and mount straight to the hex.
Fits: Traxxas Slash 4X4 front/rear, Slash 2WD and Slash VXL rear.
