A pair of rear wheel shafts for the Kyosho Scorpion XXL.
The wheel shaft is the final link in the drivetrain. It takes drive from the swing shaft, runs through the hub bearings, and carries the drive pin that turns the wheel. Everything the motor or engine produces reaches the ground through it, and it simultaneously supports the entire cornering and landing load of that corner of the car. On a 1/7 scale buggy with large heavy wheels, both of those loads are significant.
Damage shows up in two ways. A bent shaft makes the wheel run out of true, which you feel as vibration at speed and which destroys the hub bearings quickly. A worn drive pin slot lets the wheel move relative to the shaft, producing a knock under power that gets steadily worse and eventually leaves you without drive to that wheel.
These are the genuine Kyosho parts at original dimensions, so they work with the standard bearings, drive pins and wheel nuts without shimming. Two are supplied, covering both sides of the rear axle.
