A pack of ten P3 size O-rings in black, from Kyosho's universal hardware range.
O-rings this size are the sealing elements in small assemblies across a radio control car: shock caps and bleed screws, fuel and exhaust joints, and differential housings depending on the platform. They are pure consumables. Heat cycles, fuel, shock oil and simple compression set all harden them progressively until they stop sealing, and the failure is gradual rather than sudden.
That gradual failure is what makes them worth replacing on a schedule rather than waiting for symptoms. A shock that mysteriously loses oil over a weekend, or a diff that starts weeping, is almost always a tired O-ring rather than anything more serious.
P3 is a standard size designation, and Kyosho colour-codes their O-ring range so the colour identifies the size at a glance rather than being cosmetic. Kyosho does not state the compound.
Ten are supplied, enough for a full service with spares. This part supersedes the older Kyosho number OT29. Fitment is universal, spanning the Scorpion, Optima and Javelin classics, Ultima, the Fazer Mk2 range and Blizzard 2.0.
