The Losi LOSA6949 is a clutch bearing set built for the 8IGHT-X and 8IGHT XT/XTE. These bearings support the clutch bell as it spins at high RPM, and because the clutch is one of the hardest-working rotating assemblies on a nitro-powered buggy or truggy, its bearings see significant heat and load every time you're on the throttle.
A worn clutch bearing can cause the clutch bell to run out of true, leading to premature wear on your clutch shoes and flywheel, or a noticeable loss of power transfer to the drivetrain. Because clutch bearings operate in one of the hottest, highest-stress areas of the car, they wear faster than bearings in lower-load locations and are worth checking whenever your clutch engagement starts to feel inconsistent.
