This 16-tooth pinion gear is built for the Losi 5IVE-TE platform and is machined from strong alloy steel to withstand the high torque loads generated by the vehicle's electric power system. It uses a Mod 1.5 tooth pitch and is bored for an 8mm "D" profile motor shaft, giving it a secure, slip-free fit during hard acceleration and sustained high-speed running. The precisely cut teeth maintain clean, consistent mesh with the spur gear, which reduces drivetrain noise and the premature wear that comes with a worn or mismatched pinion. As a direct factory-spec replacement, it installs without any modification to the motor mount or gearbox. A 16-tooth pinion sits in the middle of the available range, offering a balanced gear ratio between acceleration and top speed for owners who want an all-around setup. The alloy steel construction resists tooth stripping under the significant torque generated by large-scale electric drivetrains.
