Description
This square pre-filter is a replacement air filtration component made for the Losi 5IVE-T RTR and MINI WRC platforms. It fits over the main air filter element to catch larger dirt, dust, and debris before they reach the primary filter media, extending the life of both the pre-filter and the main air filter beneath it. As a direct factory-fit replacement, it is shaped and sized to match the original square pre-filter, so it slides into place using the same air filter housing and clip hardware without any modification. Keeping a clean, correctly fitted pre-filter in place helps protect the engine's internals from abrasive particles that can accelerate wear on pistons, rings, and bearings, which is especially important for nitro and gas-powered trucks like the 5IVE-T that see regular off-road use in dusty conditions. This pre-filter is a simple, inexpensive maintenance item worth keeping on hand as a spare, since foam pre-filters wear out and lose effectiveness faster than the main filter element.
