Description
This adjustable aluminum motor mount is a performance upgrade for Losi's 1/12-scale NASCAR GROM race vehicles, replacing the stock mount with a machined 6061-T6 aluminum piece finished in black with silver chamfered edges. Unlike a fixed stock mount, this version is fully adjustable, letting racers fine-tune motor position to set gear mesh precisely between the pinion and spur gear. Dialing in correct mesh reduces drivetrain drag and abnormal gear wear while helping the motor run cooler and more efficiently over a race weekend, which matters on GROM's fast, repetitive oval layouts where consistent power delivery counts. The aluminum body resists the flex and heat buildup that a plastic mount can experience under sustained hard running, holding gear mesh settings steady instead of drifting as the chassis heats up. It bolts directly into the stock mounting points on the GROM chassis, so no drilling or chassis modification is needed to install it. This is a tuning and durability upgrade over the factory mount rather than a direct stock replacement, aimed at racers chasing more consistent drivetrain performance. One motor mount is included per package.
