Description
These are genuine Traxxas 3x12mm washerhead self-tapping screws, supplied in a pack of six.
The washerhead design integrates a wide flange under the head, spreading clamping load over a larger area of the composite part. That matters because a plain screw head concentrates force on a small spot and will gradually pull through or crack a plastic chassis part under repeated impact.
The self-tapping thread cuts its own path in composite material, which is why Traxxas specifies this type where a machine screw would strip out.
Screws strip, round out, and disappear into the grass, so a pack of correct-spec spares on the bench prevents improvising with the wrong hardware. Package includes six 3x12mm washerhead self-tapping screws.
