The ARRMA ARA330827 Shock Spring has a rate of C=0.359N/mm and is a genuine factory replacement and tuning spring for the ARRMA Gorgon 4X2 MEGA monster truck.
Part of ARRMA's color coded spring family for the Gorgon platform, this spring lets you tune ride height and handling character by swapping springs on the stock shocks instead of rebuilding them. The spring supports the truck's weight and sets how much the suspension compresses under a given load, working alongside the shock oil, which governs how quickly that compression and rebound happen.
Why spring choice matters: a monster truck that wallows, rolls heavily in corners, or slams down hard off jumps is usually running springs too soft for how it is being driven, while a truck that skips and chatters across rough ground instead of absorbing it is sprung too stiff. Being able to swap coloured springs quickly makes finding the right balance for your surface and driving style straightforward.
Springs are also a wear item, slowly losing rate over many compression cycles until ride height sags. A fresh spring brings the truck back to its intended stance.
