The ARRMA ARA330825 Shock Spring has a rate of C=0.359N/mm and is a genuine factory replacement and tuning spring for the ARRMA Gorgon 4X2 MEGA monster truck.
This spring belongs to ARRMA's color coded tuning spring family for the Gorgon platform, which lets you change how the truck sits and handles by swapping springs rather than rebuilding shocks. The spring carries the vehicle's weight and determines how far the suspension compresses under load, while the shock oil controls how fast that movement happens.
Spring choice changes the truck's character directly. Softer springs give a plusher ride over rough ground and more chassis roll; stiffer springs keep the truck flatter through corners and resist bottoming on landings at the cost of small bump compliance. Having a selection of the coloured tuning springs on hand makes it easy to adjust for surface, driving style, or added weight from larger batteries.
Springs also fatigue with use, gradually losing rate until the truck sits lower and bottoms out more easily, so a fresh spring restores the intended ride height.
