The Losi LOS3963 Steel Shim Set is a 24-piece assortment made from high-quality alloy steel, designed to fit all 5IVE-series vehicles. The set includes six shims measuring 10x20x0.5mm, sixteen shims measuring 5x10x0.3mm, and two shims measuring 9x13x0.2mm, covering the range of shim sizes used throughout the drivetrain and suspension of these large-scale trucks. Shims are used to fine-tune clearances and end play in gears, bearings, and moving assemblies, helping reduce unwanted slop while preventing excessive binding that can accelerate wear. Precise shimming is important for smooth, efficient power transfer and long component life in a high-torque platform like the 5IVE.
