Description
This Losi pinion gear shim is precision-machined from strong alloy steel to set accurate spacing between the pinion gear and the transmission case on 5IVE-platform vehicles, including 5IVE-T, 5IVE-B, 5IVE-MINI, and 5IVE-TG trucks. Measuring 9.0mm x 13.0mm x 0.2mm, each shim lets builders fine-tune pinion-to-spur gear mesh, which is critical for reducing drivetrain wear, cutting down gear noise, and preventing premature stripping under load. Proper shimming keeps backlash within spec so the transmission runs smoothly, extending the life of both the pinion and spur gears. Manufactured to Losi's factory tolerances, this shim is a direct replacement for the OEM part and can also be stacked or swapped to dial in gear mesh more precisely than stock, making it useful for both routine maintenance and performance tuning. The alloy steel construction resists deformation under repeated adjustment and holds its shape through the vibration and heat generated during hard use. Each package includes 10 shims, giving owners enough spares to service the drivetrain multiple times or equip a whole fleet of 5IVE vehicles without reordering.
