Description
This 14-tooth pinion gear is designed for the Losi 5IVE-TE platform and is machined from strong alloy steel to withstand the high torque loads generated by large-scale electric powertrains. It uses a Mod 1.5 tooth pitch and an 8mm "D"-shaped bore that fits securely onto the motor output shaft, preventing slippage while transferring power cleanly to the spur gear. The alloy steel material resists stripping and wear better than softer metals, holding up to repeated hard acceleration and the sustained loads of off-road electric driving. As a direct factory replacement, it fits the stock 5IVE-TE motor mount and shaft without modification, making it easy to replace a worn or damaged pinion. With a lower tooth count than the 17T option, this gear also provides a way to adjust overall drive ratio for quicker acceleration or reduced motor strain, depending on the driver's setup preferences. Sold as a single pinion gear.
