Description
This rear gear box set is compatible with all 5IVE platform vehicles and includes a newly centered rear gear box design built specifically for the 5IVE-TE 3.0's electric drivetrain layout. Constructed from strong composite material, the gear box houses the rear differential and supporting drivetrain components, and the centered design is intended to improve drivetrain alignment compared to earlier gear box configurations. A properly aligned gear box helps keep gear mesh consistent, which reduces unnecessary wear on the ring and pinion gears and helps the drivetrain run smoother and quieter under load. Because it's built for the electric 5IVE-TE 3.0 specifically, it addresses the packaging and mounting needs of that model's motor and gearing setup rather than the nitro-powered 5IVE-T. This is a factory-spec component for rebuilding or upgrading the rear drivetrain housing, useful for replacing a cracked or worn gear box or for updating to the revised centered design. It provides the composite housing needed to keep the rear differential properly supported and protected during hard use.
