Description

The Powerhobby Aluminum Heatsink with Twin Turbo Cooling Fans is designed to help reduce motor temperatures in compatible 1/8-scale RC vehicles.

Its lightweight aluminum heatsink fits motors measuring approximately 40.8mm in diameter and 57.9mm in length. Two high-speed 30mm cooling fans provide increased airflow across the motor to help control heat during extended runs and demanding driving conditions.

The fans can be installed directly onto the heatsink for a compact setup or raised with the included 10mm spacers for additional airflow between the fans and motor. Each fan reaches approximately 18,000 RPM at 6V.

Installation Note

The fans may be installed directly against the heatsink or raised using the included 10mm spacers. Select the appropriate screw length for the chosen configuration.

Secure the heatsink around a clean section of the motor can. Make sure the fans, screws, and wiring do not contact the motor shaft, pinion gear, spur gear, center driveshaft, or other moving components.

Power the fans from a compatible regulated 6V source capable of supplying adequate current. Do not connect them directly to a battery unless its output matches the confirmed fan-voltage rating.
