Description
The Spektrum SPMXSE1100 Firma 100A Brushless Smart ESC is a waterproof 3S electronic speed control built for surface vehicles, suited to 4WD 1/10 through 1/8 scale applications running 3S LiPo setups.
What distinguishes a Firma Smart ESC from a conventional speed control is telemetry. Using a single wire connection, it sends live operating data straight to a compatible Spektrum transmitter, including RPM, temperature, battery voltage, capacity, and speed. There are no extra sensors, modules, or wiring looms to install. Because the data arrives in real time rather than being logged for review after the run, you can spot a motor climbing in temperature or a pack running low on capacity while you are still driving, and adjust before something is damaged.
Paired with a Spektrum Smart LiPo, the ESC also relays battery telemetry automatically, giving a complete picture of the power system from one connection.
The all weather waterproof construction lets it run through dust, gravel, snow, and standing water. It uses IC series battery connectors, which are backwards compatible with EC3 and EC5 style connectors, so existing packs will still plug in. Included are the Firma Smart ESC, a Spektrum Smart sticker sheet, and the product manual. A Spektrum surface receiver, transmitter, and Smart LiPo are needed to use the telemetry features.
