Spektrum SPMX142S30H2 Smart G2 2S 1400mAh LiPo

The Spektrum SPMX142S30H2 is a 7.4V 1400mAh 2S hard case LiPo battery with a 30C discharge rating, an IC2 connector, and Smart G2 technology.

The Smart G2 system is what separates this pack from a conventional LiPo. An integrated microchip stores the battery's own parameters and history, including brand, type, capacity, C rating, individual cell voltage, temperature, and charge and discharge cycle count. When the pack is connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, those parameters upload automatically, so the charger configures itself correctly instead of relying on you to set capacity and cell count by hand. That removes one of the most common causes of LiPo damage.

G2 adds automatic storage discharge. The pack ships programmed to drop itself to a safe storage voltage after 72 hours of inactivity, which protects cell health during the periods a battery sits unused between runs. Faster auto discharge at up to 1.5A means that process does not drag on. Balance charging happens through the connector's data wire, so no separate balance lead is needed, and thicker internal metal side plates protect the cells and improve heat dissipation.

The 1400mAh capacity in a compact 2S hard case suits smaller and mid size vehicles. Note that G2 packs require a Spektrum G2 Smart charger or a compatible earlier Smart charger.
