The Losi TLR75000 is an 8cc tube of SmartDiff grease, formulated for use across the entire 8IGHT series. This specialized grease is designed specifically for Losi's SmartDiff differential system, providing the correct lubrication characteristics that let the diff's internal mechanism function as designed, which differs from the silicone oil used in a traditional gear differential.
Using the correct grease matters here, since a generic substitute may not deliver the same friction and damping properties the SmartDiff was engineered around, potentially affecting how the differential performs under load. Over time and with repeated use, diff grease can break down or become contaminated, so refreshing it during routine differential maintenance helps keep your SmartDiff operating the way Losi intended.
