Description
The Losi TLR243012 is a pair of 16mm split shock pistons built for the 8IGHT 3.0. A split piston uses two different hole sizes on either side of the piston face, allowing oil to flow differently on compression versus rebound, which gives racers a distinct damping feel compared to a standard symmetrical piston.
This asymmetric design is a more advanced tuning tool for drivers looking to fine-tune how their 8IGHT 3.0 responds to bumps versus how it settles afterward, offering a different feel than simply changing oil weight or spring rate alone. Pistons wear gradually from oil flow and can pick up debris over time, so periodically refreshing them during a shock rebuild helps maintain the damping characteristics you've tuned for. This genuine Losi pair matches the factory 16mm shock body diameter, so it installs cleanly into your existing shocks during a rebuild.
